Laser Labels Template Information

A label template is a specific size of label with a specific layout on an A4 sheet, and your software uses a template to make sure that what you are printing repeats the correct number of times and fits on the labels you are using.

The laser labels for sale on this site are for printing on Laser and Inkjet printers (Metallic and Fluorescent colours are for laser only), and if your application software has a label printing facility then it can be set up to run on a particular printer and to use a particular label template. One reason why we offer so many different A4 layouts is that over the years programmers have developed software to different label specifications.

There are some layouts which can be termed as “standard”. Two labels across an A4 sheet with a “standard” margin give a label width of 99.1mm, three labels give a width of 63.5mm, and so on. Many software packages have adopted the Avery ® label codes to facilitate the correct choice of label template, and we show these codes on our product pages for this reason.

Some of the labels we supply do not have a standard label template. We can supply a pdf. file for you, or you can make your own template using the Microsoft®* word program which has a label printing feature on the main tool bar under tools. If you select any label template and then click in the bottom right corner, then select “details” a representation of the label is shown together with its parameters.

By typing in the parameters of the label you can create and save a template, we will be happy to supply the parameters for our customers.
